This Privacy Policy describes how Storydoer (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it in accordance with applicable laws and App Store guidelines.
Information We Collect
When you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:
- Device information such as operating system, device type, and app usage statistics.
- Advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA), if you allow tracking. We use the AppTrackingTransparency framework solely to improve advertising relevance and app performance measurement. For example, tracking allows us to avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly and instead display ads better suited to your preferences. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
- Usage data including interactions with the App’s features.
We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, phone number, or address.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the App’s performance and features.
- Show relevant advertisements through our advertising partner, Google AdMob.
- Understand how the App is used to enhance user experience.
Third-Party Services
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information, such as device identifiers, interactions with ads, and app usage data, to deliver more relevant and personalized advertising. User Choices
- You may control ad personalization and tracking permissions in your device settings.
- On iOS, you can manage advertising preferences in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You may also reset your device’s advertising identifier at any time.
Authentication
The app supports login with Apple ID, Google account, Firebase Authentication, and optional biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID). Your Apple ID or Google login data is handled securely by Apple or Google and not stored by us. Firebase Authentication is used only to identify you as a user of this app. We do not share your authentication data with third parties.
Photo Library Access
The app may request access to your photo library only to allow you to select a profile picture (avatar).
- Selected photos are stored securely in our cloud service and are never shared with third parties.
- We do not access or collect any other photos from your library.
Face ID / Touch ID
The app may use Face ID or Touch ID to enable quick and secure login.
- Biometric data is processed only on your device.
- No biometric data is ever stored, transmitted, or accessible to us.
Data Storage
User-related data, such as tasks, achievements, and profile information, may be stored securely in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage. This data is linked only to your user account and is used solely to provide the app’s functionality.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your Rights
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the in-app “Delete Account” option. Once deleted, this data cannot be restored.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Effective date.”
